Oquendo, Streisand and Carreño make moves

Jul 26, 2017

Victor Oquendo, previously an afternoon anchor and reporter for ABC affiliate WPLG in Miami, has moved on to network news, joining ABC News as a Miami-based correspondent.

Betsy Streisand is the new Washington bureau chief for Marketplace. While she has edited nearly every beat at the program since joining Marketplace at the start of the financial crisis, most recently, she has been senior editor for the wealth and poverty desk in Los Angeles. Before Marketplace, Streisand spent more than 20 years at U.S. News & World Report.

Marialcy Carreño, currently Executive Producer at Telemundo’s KSTS 48 in San Jose, is moving to sister station KXTX 39 in Dallas, where she is being promoted to Assistant News Director. Prior to joining Telemundo in February of 2014, she spent four years as a news producer at Univision Fresno. Before that, she was a general producer for RCTV International in her native Venezuela.
