Question of the Day
Yesterday, we asked: MTV debuted on this day in 1981. Believe it or not, “Music Television” originally played a lot of music videos. In 1987 it broke that format for the first time with what show?
Answer: The pop culture trivia game show, Remote Control
Congrats to…Craig Pittman, who was the first to tweet the correct answer. Many of you jumped right over to “The Real World,” which launched in 1992, so if you missed “Remote Control” back in its heyday, be sure to check it out, because words really don’t do it justice. And as Mark Harper notes, it featured “the late Ken Ober and Colin Quinn,” along with plenty of other early-career comedians and actors, including Adam Sandler and Denis Leary.
Your question of the day for today is…We’re moving into back-to-school season, so sharpen your pencils for this one. Before the invention of the pencil eraser, what food product was used to erase graphite?
