Changes at KING 5, CNBC, The Washington Examiner

Seattle’s KING 5 News has a new dayside Executive Producer. Ruben Villaescusa retired from KTTV-11 in Los Angeles, where he had been Assistant News Director since December 2014, at the end in January. But, he says, “I just couldn’t stay retired.” Villaescusa spent 23 years at KTTV-11. Prior to that, we worked for KTLA Los Angeles and KCOP Los Angeles.

Contessa Brewer has been named as a general assignment reporter for CNBC, where she has worked since September 2016. She previously anchored dayside newscasts for MSNBC, worked as a correspondent for NBC News and an anchor for WNBC, and has filed stories for the CBS Evening News and ABC News.

Steven Nelson, who has been a reporter and producer for US News & World Report for the last five years, is joining the Washington Examiner as a White House reporter. And Gabby Morrongiello, who previously worked as a political reporter for the Washington Examiner before moving to the New York Post, is back at the publication, this time as a White House reporter.
