Swanson, Coker, Moore join The New York Times

Ana Swanson is leaving The Washington Post for The New York Times, where she’ll cover trade in its Washington bureau. She previously served as editor-in-chief of China Economic Review magazine and has freelanced for numerous publications, including Foreign Policy, Forbes, CNN and The Atlantic.

Also joining The New York Times is Margaret Coker, who will be the paper’s new Baghdad bureau chief. She comes from The Wall Street Journal, where she most recently led its Istanbul bureau. And Jina Moore is leaving BuzzFeed for The New York Times’ bureau chief post in Nairobi, Kenya. Prior to joining BuzzFeed News in 2014, she worked as an Africa correspondent for the Christian Science Monitor.
