Question of the Day

Nov 21, 2017

Yesterday we asked: Most people thought Grammy presenter Alice Cooper was joking when he announced the winner of the Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal award the year that category was introduced. Who was the winner? Bonus points for naming the album.

Answer: That was the night Jethro Tull beat Metallica for “Crest Of A Knave” in the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal category. Ridiculous, of course, but without it, we wouldn’t have this great play-by-play of how it all went down.

Congrats to…Craig Pittman, first to tweet all the correct answers. And, as Debra Krol pointed out, it did feature “awesome hard flute music from Ian Anderson!”

Your question of the day for today is…Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary, but the two first met in 1934 when Philip was 13 and the then-Princess was eight. What was the occasion?
