Amanpour to replace Rose on an interim basis
PBS has announced that “Amanpour,” Christiane Amanpour’s program on CNN International, will air on PBS stations as an interim replacement for Charlie Rose’s late-night interview program. In addition to hosting the nightly global affairs program, Amanpour is CNN’s Chief International Correspondent. The veteran foreign affairs correspondent has earned eleven News and Documentary Emmy Awards, four Peabody Awards, two George Polk Awards, three duPont-Columbia Awards and the Courage in Journalism Award. During her career, she’s also contributed to CBS’s “60 Minutes” and hosted “This Week” for ABC News.
