Updates at Quartz, BRIDES, WLTX-TV
Kira Bindrim has been named Quartz’s managing editor, leading the global newsroom and its management, including pod editors and coverage. Before joining Quartz in April 2016 as Talent Lab editor, Bindrim was managing editor of Newsweek. She previously served as homepage editor at Reuters and reporter and director of online strategy at Crain’s New York Business.
A couple of updates at BRIDES magazine: Kate Donovan, who has been the magazine’s senior wedding style editor for the past two years, has been promoted to style director. Previously, she was a market editor and associate market editor for InStyle Magazine. Roberta Correia has been promoted from digital editor to deputy digital director.
Alicia Neaves has moved to South Carolina to become weekend evening anchor and reporter at CBS affiliate WLTX-TV in Columbia. She spent the last two years at San Antonio CBS affiliate KENS. Before that, she was a bilingual reporter for NBC affiliate NewsWest 9 and Telemundo 20 in Odessa, TX. She started her career in production at WOAI News 4 San Antonio.
