Since establishing the private practice Sewell Law Firm, PC, in 1991, attorney Efrem Sewell has conducted cases on behalf of thousands of clients from Texas and throughout the Southern United States. With an office in Bellaire, he handles matters ranging from workers compensation and personal injury disputes to criminal defense trials and immigration status hearings. He routinely attains favorable settlements in lawsuits and has secured millions of dollars in restitution for his clients. As a trial attorney, Efrem Sewell has argued more than 100 jury trials to a successful verdict.
Mr. Sewell prepared for his career by earning a juris doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. While in law school, he worked as an editor on the Thurgood Marshall Law Review and won the American Jurisprudence Award, which is conferred for excellence in criminal law studies. He belongs to several professional associations, including the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
Away from his professional endeavors, Efrem Sewell spends time in the outdoors hunting quail or going freshwater fishing with friends. He enjoys following a variety of professional and college sports and regularly watches SportsCenter. A fan of the NFL, he has gone to several Houston Texans games, and he attended Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston.
