At Chase County Elementary the fifth graders do the cattle project where we can learn hands-on life skills. This year, in the cattle project we have had plenty of problems, but part of the fun is learning how to solve them. For example, when we went to the Emporia sale barn to buy calves, we were only supposed to buy two. But we accidentally got three calves. One was too big and too wild, so we used Facebook and got our money back by selling it.
