Election Day 2025 Virginia Forecasts

Election Day 2025 Virginia Forecasts

LinkedIn — This analysis uses historical modelling to predict the winners of the 2025 elections in Virginia. With an ever-growing lead, Spanberger maintains the necessary dominance in key Eastern and Tidewater regions to become the next governor, and while it will be a nail-biter, Attorney General Jason Miyares is putting up historically good numbers with Black voters, a swing demographic for the Attorney General’s race in Virginia, and will likely return as attorney general for another term.

Authoritarian Economics: Trump's War on the Federal Reserve

Authoritarian Economics: Trump's War on the Federal Reserve

The Outspoken — Donald Trump’s shocking 2024 election victory was largely attributed to one factor: voters’ feelings about the economy. Unsatisfied with the way the Biden administration had handled their money, and encouraged by Trump’s “America First” agenda, swing voters overwhelmingly reported in exit polls that they had voted for Trump with the economy at the top of their mind. Trump has long prided himself on being a businessman and being able to cut a deal with anyone. Famously, he has used this same logic in wars with Ukraine and Russia with limited success, but has proclaimed otherwise anyway. His favorite line throughout the campaign was pointing to the Biden economy inflation numbers and rambling on about the way the Biden-Harris Administration had failed the people.

Biden Departs LA as it burns highlighting politicization of our country

Culver City Observer — Air Force One sat on the tarmac as clouds of smoke blocked the whole sky around us. The whole city is reeling from one of the biggest natural disasters we've experienced recently...

Millcreek Township: The Bellwether within a Bellwether (Within a Bellwether)

Columbus Free Press — The election is just hours away, yet we likely won’t know the winner for a while. The electoral college has shifted all of the significance onto seven swing states, leaving the election up to a small percentage of our country. This article argues that the people who will decide this election is even smaller than seven swing states; it could be decided by a few thousand people in a small town in Pennsylvania called Millcreek Township.

Voice for Youth: Local student journalist attends RNC debate

The Argonaut — In the United States right now, the first Gen Zers are filling seats in Congress, and in a hyperpolarized political environment, youth activists are engaging in current events in a way they never have before. Young advocates in Montana recently won a case where the judge said they have the “fundamental right to a clean and healthy environment, which includes climate change.” As the only journalist under 18 in that room, I had the opportunity to ask questions that concern young people the most.
