A Heat Advisory is in effect this afternoon through Wednesday 7 p.m. because the heat index is expected to reach above 100 degrees - up to 103 today and 105 tomorrow. The advisory is the the main four metro counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Madison and St. Clair.
Our weather today is looking much like yesterday with mostly sunny skies and dry times. Highs will run almost 10 degrees warmer than the average Memorial Day. And winds will be light - perfect for boating, fishing, pool time, golf...you name it! But, we can't rule out isolated showers and thunderstorms popping up with the afternoon heat.
Clouds have been lingering in the skies across the bistate from a system moving to our south. While the lion's share of rain from this system dodged the area, isolated sprinkles or showers are possible for the remainder of this Friday.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY - Work starts Wednesday to improve a big stretch of Manchester Road in St. Louis County. The project is a joint effort between the West St. Louis County Chamber, Missouri Department of Transportation and the municipalities of Wildwood, Ellisville and Ballwin. The entire stretch of road will be well-lit with easy-to-read street signs.

CHARLES, Mo. - The City of St. Charles is about to get a new look with the Fifth Street Gateway Project, which will radically change the look and feel of most of Fifth Street from Bass Pro Drive to First Capitol. Find results that mention multiple specified terms, use AND or

Use the operators OR or , to broaden your search when you'd like either of
multiple terms to appear in results. (This is the default behavior of our search when no operators

Use parentheses to separate multiple

An asterisk can be used to search for any variation of a root word truncated by the asterisk. For example, searching for admin* will return results for administrator, administration, administer, administered, etc.
A near operator is an AND operator where you can control the distance between the words. You can vary the distance the near operation uses by adding a forward slash and number (between 0-99) such as strawberries NEAR/10 "whipped cream", which means the strawberries must exist within 10 words of "whipped cream".
