SHEPHERD, Mont. – Shepherd School launched a new local beef initiative to boost student nutrition and support local agriculture. Chaley Harney, a parent, spearheaded the effort to provide students with locally produced beef. "I had this idea to get local beef into Shepherd School and thought it would be a great opportunity to really boost the school food service program," said Harney. Harney, who has a first grader at the school, emphasized the importance of nutrition for the students.
