@rboyle31 So 1) what would a real research program be, instead of just shuffling around $ to your billionaire contractor friend? And 2) why doesn't that program exist? Like I said, I would guess it's more that the evidence sucks and doesn't open the door to future tests than any stigma.
@rboyle31 Still though let's say you have some unexplained stuff. Like what happened with military satellites and GRBs. I would buy that the parameter space explored by military aircraft is unique + could contain weird stuff. And these pilots do claim some imaging evidence and testimony.
@rboyle31 Because 22 million is a piddly nothing sum compared to not just F35s but also JWST; even gravitational waves. That makes me think the evidence is terrible. Leaving aside aliens, learning about super-advanced aircraft obviously matters for national defense.
@rboyle31 I'm also intrigued. It made me wonder: let's say you have these unexplained encounters. How do you even design a serious scientific research program to verify and attempt to explain?
There's some irony in this. Maybe a lesson about facing failure. Trying to convey business-as-usual to save the brand while exploiting writers caused this... okay, so how's the brand looking now?
