@weinlab @adam_tooze @AlbertoBagnai @JancisRobinson not bizarre at all. Doctors prescribe more opioids at certain places. Why? If you assume both opioids and wine are to "relieve pain" they would be substitutes. Interesting analysis: do doc's prescribe more opioids in dry counties? That would be a nice propensity score analysis.
