Accenture acquires majority stake OT security firm Dragos, rolls in two more startups

Ten years ago, venture capitalists told Dragos CEO Robert Lee that starting the company was a mistake. On Thursday, Accenture bought a majority stake in the company at a $3.2 billion valuation. Dragos announced the news in a blog post today. Accenture has also bought cybersecurity firms runZero and NetRise outright. Both will be folded into Dragos' operational technology (OT) security platform.

Hosting firm Hetzner hikes prices sharply amid supply chain pain

European hosting provider Hetzner has nearly tripled the cost to lease some dedicated servers and cloud plans, blaming supply chain tightness. Hetzner first flagged a pending price increase on May 27. It then published the new pricing list on Monday, June 15, with the cost of leasing some virtual servers in the US rising between 107% and 204%. The changes only apply to new orders and cloud instance re-sizing, for now. This isn't Hetzner's first price rise of 2026.

OpenAI acquires German startup to spin up cloud dev environments for better agent control

Enterprises need to unlock multi-agent orchestration for long-running autonomous work. OpenAI has acquired agent platform Ona to help. The Germany-based startup has been building autonomous AI software engineers in the form of fleets of agents with enough governance and security measures baked in that they can be used by enterprises. OpenAI announced it acquired the six-year-old company, formerly Gitpod, last week for an undisclosed amount.
