The Otter Tail County Historical Society’s Otter Tail 150 Coffee Klatch Series continues on Friday, March 2, at 10 a.m. with Wayne Runnigen speaking about the history of Pelican Rapids. Seeking locations for fur trading posts led two employees of the British Northwest Company to the rapids along the Pelican River in 1868. Asa Jacobs and Robert Scrambler fell in love with the rich countryside and the potential of the rapids for water power.
