“When people show you who they are, believe them,” advised a former mentor. It’s a maxim that works. Take Trump for example. He is who he is – an over-the-top, risk-taking, deal-wheeling, shoot-from-the-hip, pro-American capitalist. He is bold, brazen, egocentric, sometimes ill-mannered, sometimes wise. He is an unapologetic, abashing fighter who pushes back when punched. You don’t have to wonder where he stands on issues, or where he stands with people. He tells it like he sees it.
