The Canadian Securities Administrators seems poised to stake a stab at regulating the murky world of crypto-currencies. So-called Initial Coin Offerings are an emerging form of fundraising for early stage companies. They involve firms selling digital ‘coins’ or ‘tokens’ in exchange for financing.
