REGINA, SASK. – Ted Knight, the Saskatchewan dealer and former chairman of the Canadian Automobile Dealers’ Association, died last week after a five-year battle with cancer. He was 78 years old. Knight was born in Selkirk, Man., in 1939. While he certainly made a name for himself in the automotive industry, hockey appeared to be his first passion. As a member of the Winnipeg Braves, he won the Memorial Cup in 1958 – that team was later inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
