Capital City Courier

Newspaper
The Capital City Courier is one of the fastest-growing African-American newspapers in the country. It started as a dream of entrepreneur Michael Pittman’s in 2006 as a vehicle to deliver the “news, views, and the other side of the story” to African-Americans from all walks of life. Specializing in hard-hitting, thought-provoking issues that affect the Black community, the Capital City Courier has watched its readership grow from a local newspaper in Springfield, Illinois to one that is read both nationally and internationally via its website.
