In the UK, there are more men in the workforce than women, but despite this there are actually many industries dominated by females. In fact, it is understood that there are more women than men in nursing, teaching, psychology, counselling, administration, human resources, public relations, accounting, and insurance. However, there is a noticeable lack of women working in the IT industry. The question is – why? Surveys show that only 3% of women cite technology-related jobs as their first choice.
