TubaChristmas comes to the historic and ornate Lorain Palace as a Sunday matinee special. Ever wonder how TubaChristmas started? No, it wasn’t about the Fourth Wise Man, a fat guy nobody talks about. Rather, it dates back to 1974. The first was conducted by the legendary Paul Lavalle at New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza on Sunday, December 22 of that year, in tribute to a music teacher named William J. Bell, who had been born on Christmas Day, 1902.
