Enobytes (“Eno” – short for Enology: a science that deals with wine and wine making, & bytes: A unit of digital information) has been around since 1996.
Back then, founders Marc Hinton and Pamela Heiligenthal provided consulting services for the wine and restaurant industry in the San Francisco area. Since then, the company has evolved radically.
In 2001, they registered the Enobytes domain and began designing the site, then in 2006, the online version of Enobytes.com emerged. They expanded services to educate and share their passion and knowledge of wine and food with readers across the globe. Today, thousands of readers and millions of hits from over a hundred countries visit Enobytes.com each month.
In addition to writing and tasting for Enobytes.com, Pamela and Marc also contribute as wine bloggers for OregonLive.com (Wine Bytes), About Face Magazine, and appear on Portland’s “Vine Time” on News Radio 750 KXL and on California’s Central Coast “From the Growing of the Grape to the Glass” on KUHL-AM 1410.
