The Florida Sun

Founded in 1931, the Florida Sun is the oldest African American Newspaper in Central Florida. It is a community newspaper utilizing both staff and freelance writers for content that captures social and political commentary that is relevant to the local black community. This newspaper offers print and online versions of the paper with printed copies of the newspaper being free at more than 400 distribution points throughout the Central Florida area. These distribution locations include major retailers such as Publix, Walmart, Winn Dixie,Walgreens and CVS; as well as many convenience stores such as 7-Eleven stores and Circle K. Source
