Born in Seattle to a career military father, Paul McGuinn, and mother Gladys, Carol’s family was stationed in Okinawa, Oklahoma and South Dakota before making a permanent move back to Seattle in 1962. She proudly called herself an Army Brat. She was stationed with her husband of twelve years, also career military, in Amberg, Germany, then Texas. She’s remained friends with many people from her childhood, the military, and her travels. Back in Seattle, she held a variety of office support positions.
