CHARLESTON, SC (BILL BURR, WTAT-TV) — Every week on Concord Street, tourists are coming and going from the cruise ship terminal. It’s their beginning and ending destination. The duties of keeping them safe as possible are the responsibility of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, also known CBP. Canine enforcement officer Erik Larsen and his partner, Hero, are among the tools that are used. Every year, about 182,000 people pass through the terminal. Each of them brings luggage and suitcases.
