I was first intrigued by coconut oil because of its sweet, sweet aroma. Once I looked into the many possible health benefits and uses for coconut oil, my love was sealed. Although more research is warranted, coconut oil has been associated with weight loss, reduction in the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and enhanced blood sugar control (1). For me personally, it has been associated with several convenient uses around the home (I keep several jars on hand for various purposes!).
