A mountain lion that spent a portion of the morning of Feb. 14 in a tree on the Bruneau Elementary School grounds was later shot and killed. The cat was spotted about 8 a.m. and school authorities immediately locked the school down and contacted the Fish and Game Office in Nampa. "We did not have a conservation officer immediately available to respond," Fish and Game Wildlife Ricky Ward noted.

Mayor David Bieter was welcomed into Elk's Lodge on Feb. 16 at the guest speaker for this year's Black History banquet, put on by the Mountain Home Community Black History Committee.
Featuring a local celebrity as one of the guest speakers of the night, the annual Lincoln Day Banquet welcomed Republicans across the county to the Elk's Lodge on Feb. 17. The evening began with a posting of the colors by American Legion Post #26, followed by the pledge of allegiance led by Representative Megan Blanksma. Representative Christy Zito gave the invocation.
The Mountain Home Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection with a string of recent burglaries in Mountain Home and Boise. Marcus Lopez, 18, and a 16-yr-old male were both arrested Wednesday, Feb. 14. Both have been charged with multiple felonies, including eight counts of grand theft, four counts of burglary and one count of possession of a stolen vehicle.
Violet Leona Towne, 84, of Mountain Home, passed away at St. Luke's Elmore, on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018. No local services will be held. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.
County farmer David Olson directed a $2,500 to Mountain Home Future Farmers of America club as part of the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. The Mountain Man Wrestling club just celebrated another successful tournament this past weekend when the team traveled to Jerome High School for the Jerome Invitational on Feb. 10. Fifty athletes and their families traveled to the Magic Valley for the tournament. In Jerome, 24 teams brought 423 wrestlers to compete. The Mountain Man wrestlers brought home fourth place as a team, missing out on third by only 10 points.

The Mountain Home High School boys' basketball team had a rough season with an overall record of 5-15. On Friday Feb. 9, the team took on top-ranked Bishop Kelly Knights in the last "Black Out" game of the season. Between the junior varsity game and the varsity game, the school honored the seniors of the team with the presentation of a shadow box to commemorate their hard work and dedication to the team.

Find results that mention multiple specified terms, use AND or

Exact case matching or punctuation
If you're searching for a brand name or keyword that relies on specific punctuation marks or capitalization, you can

Use parentheses to separate multiple
boolean phrases. For example, to find journalists talking about having fun in Disney World or
Disneyland, search for ("disney world" OR disneyland) AND fun.
An asterisk can be used to search for any variation of a root word truncated by the asterisk. For example, searching for admin* will return results for administrator, administration, administer, administered, etc.
A near operator is an AND operator where you can control the distance between the words. You can vary the distance the near operation uses by adding a forward slash and number (between 0-99) such as strawberries NEAR/10 "whipped cream", which means the strawberries must exist within 10 words of "whipped cream".
