It sometimes helps to know the rules. South Simcoe Police Marine Unit stopped a personal watercraft around 6pm Saturday evening (jul 8) on Lake Simcoe. The PWC was towing a person on a knee board when it was stopped. The operator, an 23 year old Innisfil man, didn't have a spotter. He was charged with failing to keep watch which is a charge under the Canada Shipping Act. A Toronto man is facing charges after the boat he was operating didn't have enough life jackets.
