New Westminster Record

Newspaper
The Record, New Westminster’s hometown newspaper, has been committed to serving the city for more than 30 years. The Royal City Record was first published on Oct. 1, 1981 as an eight-page broadsheet newspaper. The newspaper’s founders believed that the city deserved a paper that was soley dedicated to the oldest city in western Canada and rallied family members and supporters to launch the fledgling operation. The paper grew to a twice-weekly tabloid during the 1980s and developed a loyal readership for its award-winning news stories, sports, commentary and advertisements. It is now distributed to more than 16,000 homes and businesses in the city on Thursdays. It also has a dynamic website with continually updated news, sports and opinion pieces. Source
