Rap Pages Magazine was launched in 1989 and covered the rapidly expanding west coast rap scene led by NWA, Snoop Dogg, Tupac and Ice Cube. Rap Pages Magazine continued to grow as the west coast expanded its popularity with the platinum success of Dr. Dre's -"Chronic" and Snoop Dogg's "Doggystyle" albums. As rap and hip music began to flourish globally in the late-80's-to-early-1990's, Rap Pages Magazine continued its' urban focus, its distribution and became one of the top Urban Music Publications in the world.
