Georgia’s revenues for December produced a break-out month showing an overall 10 percent gain versus a year ago. Individual income taxes, the largest source of state revenues, showed an outstanding month, gaining $145.9 million or 13.1 percent. Within the category, withholding payments were up $59.4 million, estimated payments rose a whopping $60.8 million and other categories rose a combined $33.1 million. Refunds were up $7.3 million. Corporate income taxes rose 13.6 percent.
