The Spotlight

Newspaper
The Spotlight was started in 1955 as a small publication in Delmar, NY, and in the decades that have followed the paper has blossomed into the preeminent source for local news coverage in the greater Capital District. The Spotlight now produces five local, weekly editions in Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Saratoga counties, with a combined circulation of more than 20,000. Our newspapers are a mixture of paid subscription weeklies, free publications and total market publications. The Spotlight also publishes two monthly niche publications, Capital District Parent Pages and Capital District Senior Spotlight, that have distribution in Rensselaer and Columbia and Warren counties in addition to the Capital District. These publications, along with The Spotlight’s corresponding web properties, provide readers with unparalleled coverage of community news and events, and advertisers with unparalleled exposure to consumers.
