Wrap in paper to present as a gift, or hang on the Christmas tree– Place the soft butter and caster sugar in a bowl. Using an electric beater, cream them together until light and fluffy. – Add the egg, and beat until fully incorporated. Add the rose water, lemon zest, vanilla seeds and, gradually, the flour, until you form a dough. – Spoon the dough out onto a work surface and flatten out to form a disc, approximately 20cm in diameter. Clingfilm the dough and chill for one hour.
