After many years in franchise recruitment listening to the views and experiences of hundreds of prospective franchisees about how they conducted their research into franchise opportunities, it became clear that while there were many franchise information resources, the sheer breadth of the entire franchise industry meant that any one resource struggled to cater for the specific needs of each individual prospective franchisee. Franchise seekers I have met told of hours spent trawling various media looking for the ‘treasure chest’ that gave them all the information they, personally, needed, without also overwhelming with additional information that, whilst useful for other people, was not relevant to them.
