The Big Lake girls basketball team won two of its last three games on the road over the past week. In a close game Thursday, the Hornets beat Buffalo, 60-57. They led, 27-23 at the half and scrambled the rest of the way to hold on to their lead. Caela Tighe led Big Lake with 18 points. Annika Poe scored 11. Emma Anderson had 10. Reagan Sternquist and Kayla Donais each finished with eight. Tuesday, the Hornets trailed early, fought back, but lost in overtime to Rogers, 76-74.
