What was your first job as a journalist?

I worked for a little newspaper in Connecticut, covering the public education beat. I spent a lot of time at school board meetings.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Email is best. Short and sweet, please.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

For print, it's just paper and pen and a tape recorder. For video, I edit packages using Final Cut Pro7.
