12. Suppose a Russian citizen, or Russian-American, maybe in possession of evidence, wanted to review or search the Glenn Simpson/#FusionGPS testimony in their native tongue. Couldn't do that with the gov-supplied PDF, but could easily use the @wikisource_en version.
11. One more thing: If/when government & institutions release docs in OPEN FORMATS (plain text, ODF...), citizens will be FAR better informed, and LOTS of redundant work will be saved. The transcript was typed once...but now has to be transcribed. (facepalm)

I love a good, basic electric typewriter. Can't be beat for focus. Haven't had one for a while, though.

How is social media changing news?

Good question, but I'm more interested in how Wikipedia is changing news - and how it's upholding the values of traditional journalism.
