Have you ever used a typewriter?

I liked using a slim manual typewriter and was proud to purchase and lug home a hefty electric model.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Journalists have a key role in seeking and reporting about the truth in whatever story they are working on.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was news editor of my high school newspaper. My biggest interview there was with Muhammad Ali, who visited the school.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Learning the tools of the trade (reporting, writing, interviewing, editing, etc.) is very important, but most important is being ethical.
