ALKBH5 exerts an m6A-independent function to control the spindle assembly in oocytes through KIF22
Abstract ALKBH5 is a key determinant of oocyte quality by regulating N6-methyladenosine (m6A) to maintain maternal RNA stability in oocytes. However, the role of ALKBH5 in oocytes other than m6A has not been reported. Here, we document that ALKBH5 is expressed and localized to spindle during mouse oocyte meiotic maturation. The abnormal spindle in Alkbh5-/- oocytes can be both partially restored by the ectopic expression of exogenous wild-type Alkbh5 and enzymatically dead Alkbh5-H205A.
The impact of biodiversity information disclosure on analyst forecast quality: empirical evidence from China
Abstract Biodiversity information, as an important part of the risk information and sustainable development information framework, its disclosure rules, behaviors and quality research have become major issues at present. This paper is the first to examine the impact of Chinese listed companies’ biodiversity information disclosure on analyst forecast quality.
Blockchain technology, alliance networks, and corporate vertical M&A: empirical evidence from China
This paper investigates the impact of blockchain technology on firms’ vertical merger and acquisition (M&A) behaviour, and finds that the probability of firms making vertical M&A decisions increases steadily with the development of blockchain technology application. This impact is achieved by reducing transaction costs, information asymmetry and improving the integration of industrial resources.
Beyond group comparisons: Accounting for intersectional sources of bias in international survey measures
No potential conflict of interest was reported by the author(s). Notes 1 According to Finney and DiStefano (Citation2006) and Bandalos (Citation2014), with a robust estimator, MLR can produce unbiased parameter estimates and standard errors for categorical dependent variables with at least 4–5 response categories and a large sample size, which are all satisfied with the PISA data.
Beyond group comparisons: Accounting for intersectional sources of bias in international survey measures
Abstract International surveys are increasingly being used to understand nonacademic outcomes like math and science motivation, and to inform education policy changes within countries. Such instruments assume that the measure works consistently across countries, ethnicities, and languages—that is, they assume measurement invariance.
