Following the discovery of penicillin in 1928, a whole new region of public health had begun to unfold. The impact of the antibiotic, penicillin, expanded upon the treatment of infectious diseases to an incredulous degree. However, since their introduction, millions of metric tons of antibiotics have been manufactured and produced. This large-scale production released many toxic substances into the atmosphere, which caused the evolution and mutation of microbes.

In 1960, Swiss engineer Jacques Piccard and Navy Lieutenant Don Walsh, took the US Navy bathyscaph Trieste and dove 35,797 feet(10,910 meters) down the Mariana Trench in an area called the challenger deep. This exploration opened a new scientific window to a region in the ocean we considered devoid of life. Former US navy Victor Vescovo is the first person to ever visit the deepest points in every ocean. His expeditions have opened many doors to previously unanswered questions about the hadal zone.

In 2007, 8-year-old Amarjeet Sada would murder a 6-month-old baby and bury her body. Born in 1998 in a small village in northern India, Amarjeet came from a poverty-stricken family. Though information on his childhood is scarce, it is known that he suffered from some sort of mental illness or personality disorder. His first victim would be his cousin, some reports say she was six years old while others say she was nine months old. Regardless, he strangled her to death then later told his parents.
