THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) — You can call Ashley Tabor “Captain” — of Protector Fire Company Number 2, in Thibodaux. “I am the only female captain; from what I was told, I am the first female captain. So, I’ve been a firefighter for going on six years,” said Ashley Tabor. When she takes off her helmet, she often hears this: “Look, it’s a girl!
