Hurray! Finally! — Delta is cracking down on people who use fake emotional support animals to let their pets fly for free
@RachelFeltman @Ginsburg @themandanley That’s the best solution. There’s a nice rhythm in writing e.g. “manned and unmanned spacecraft have landed on the Moon” vs. “crewed and robotic spacecraft have...” but it’s a small loss
@RachelFeltman @themandanley I've used "crewed" in place of "manned," no problem. The issue I seem to run into is on the other side. When I say "unmanned spacecraft" people immediately get that it wasn't designed for humans, but if I say "uncrewed spacecraft," there seems to be the suggestion of abandonment
@charliejane Hah! I read Friday when I was 15, and I remember it mostly as the first novel that made me go "Wait—what???" in "not the good way." (It was the 80's. We didn't have "WTF" yet). Then I read Farnhams's Freehold & pretty much stopped picking RAH up at Dublin's used book stores.
