Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said 70 percent of roads connecting settlements in the Guria region in the west, which has been affected by heavy snowfall over the past several days, had been cleared and essential services, including electricity, restored to thousands of subscribers. In his press comments, the official said 35,000 users had been without electricity as of Monday in the region, with the number reduced to 10,000 following relief efforts.
