stephanie, you pick it up from there. all right, dave, thanks so much. >> well, you can get a taste of oktoberfest without ever leaving the bay area. san francisco host a celebration of brought worst ice cold beer and live music in just a few days. and joining us live now with a preview is andy china managing partner with schroder's one of the businesses participating this year. good morning to you. i t well, how does it feel to be participating in this year? i know that you guys have been doing in october fest every year, but it sounds like you're expanding it. >> yeah, this is a this is the first time and entertainment zone has been created in the state of california. we'd like to thank senator london, britain, the board of supervisors for making this happen. a lot of heavy lifting because downtown is really struggled since and so all of this legislation got passed to create basically a place where we can shut down and throw parties yoga, do whatever in the streets on a recurring basis. and because we've been doing oktoberfest for over 10 years now, schroder's actually 130 years old. we've been doing oktoberfest on the street since 2014. we thought this would be a perfect launching point for the entertainment zone. so we're excited to bring this to san francisco in want people to come down and see us and see that san francisco downtown is is going to be great. and this is the first step in that in that process. fantastic. and glad to hear that there is that innovation happening to really bring that life back to the downtown area in san francisco. >> tell us a bit about what people can expect sat october fest this year when they head out to front street. well, we teamed up with our neighbors harrington's and royal exchange with shutting down the street. >> and downtown sf the cbd for us is also partnering this as well. >> so it's officially called a fest on front and what that means. it's bigger and better than ever. we started 02:00pm on friday this friday and there's going to be axed throwing. we to advance. we're going to have competitions costume competition. stein holding down. >> the bans are lady holes in their traditional. so are the polk, a band coming all the way from southern california. but they also play like fund covers get. and then at 7 o'clock pop rocks comes on and they're fun cover band. that playing the san francisco bay area for forever. so it's kind of one big party and inside traders were going to be making it a traditional with leader beers glass times. it's going to feel like you're in munich. so inside outside music again, axe-throwing, which is a it's going to be fine when you've got that. i got to point out, too. i love the outfit, by the way. thank you very, to >> very festival. we appreciate it. and you mentioned the accident. how good of an ex or you never done it before. i you have to sign a waiver. i'm not but when the idea came up to us, we said, you know what? that kind of feels very fall, very oktoberfest. so let's do it. let's have some fun asic and what are some items off the menu at schroders that people absolutely have to try out while they're out there? well, so this is going to be pretty limited menus mainly doing the brought in the pretzels, which is the thing that everybody wants to have. but if you come in for the next month and actually pretty much through the fall and winter season, we're going to be running traditional drumming specials the whole time. so we always have the notion that so gurson insulin brought and then we'll be adding things like roasted duck lags, pork shanks whatever kind of fall. you know, the weather is perfect for the day when the when the weather gets foggy and fall, you're going to want to come in and and have some sauerbrunn all right. making us all hungry this morning. so tell us a bit about a mission to like, is this something that people have to purchase tickets for? >> that sort of thing. how can people get more information? you can go to event brite and just look up oktoberfest on front and rsvp. but admission is free. >> and you know, so we just encourage, you know, there's no reason not to come public transportation, super easy, bart muni and there's tons of parking on a friday, unfortunately for touch everything's good for us this chaos. it's super easy to get we'll have plenty of benches and we expect to have a few 1000 people would be great. all right. wonderful. and as we start to wrap things up here, you've been part of the san francisco business community for well over a decade, i would say yes. >> i mean, you seen things evolve over the last 10 years or so? what is your hope for the future of the city as we move forward here? >> i think the most positive thing is that. going to the crisis of 2020, the pandemic and recovering is the san francisco business community more united than ever. i we were nestle and friendly, there wasn't as much networking talking with each other about ways that we can help each other out and what's changed since then is that we're all in it together. and the city and state actually have been really behind us, try and find creative ways to bring san francisco back to what we were back in 2019. and when i say bring us back actually mean, it's probably going to be a different version. but we're hopeful that it's going to be a better version with san francisco, not just being sort of business place where you come in for work for a few hours but rather bridging is that different chain entertainment and lifestyle. we really think entertainment nightclub, restaurants, bars, hospitality can lead the way and present kind of a new version of what san francisco could be. >> all right. a hopeful message for viewers out there just inviting everybody to come out to oktoberfest again, to recap all of this, tell us when and where this is happening, how long that's going on for so oktoberfest on front is one day festival to to 10:00pm this friday, september 20th. and we will be celebrating oktoberfest all month of september and through october at schroders. so combined. see all right. fantastic. and each managing partner with schroder's. thank you so much. and happy oktoberfest. thank you so
