>> welcome back to positively. charlotte. today is the perfect day to crack a cold one because it's national ipa day. we brought in half to help us celebrate. mikey foster is here to give us a little taste of your some. you got some ipa's here for us today. but before we get into this. >> what is the difference between an ipa a regular typical beer? >> ni ph is really going to be happier be a little higher and abv. obviously it's going to be a little more expensive because of that. so when most people think of like a beer flavored beer, they're thinking of a longer about 4%. these usually come in higher about 7. i have one. that's ok, talk to me about these. everyone's first of all, you these cancer, adorable. but >> what are the different ones that you guys have any? you guys just recently released a new one to? yes. so i brought beach pier, which is a little thinner. it's 5%. it's obviously made for the beach. you can drink it when it's hot outside. cold outside. it's going to be little fruit here abroad in this rain, which is our year-round hazy ipa that one is built to be competitive in our local market because we have so many burries. sure i brought socialite which is kind of the same deal but it's a west coast ipa. so it's it's going to be a little hop year. got to know about ipa. so really enjoy that one. and then i brought trail magic, which is our 9% triple ipa, which i'm pretty bartenders. if you see somebody drinking multiples of these, they than you should. you know what they need to get the so i'm also when when you're burning is because you guys are bringing this in-house. so what is the process like for brewing ipa? >> well, for one, we use a lot of the local mall we get hops all over the country, but it's really like hopping additions. like if you get the sugars to deter abb up and then you're hopping additions for dry hopping. a lot of these don't have the during hops. so comes a really lot using a lot of how country and then hot products like full bulls and stuff like but there's some science that goes into brewing beer. it's it's kind of shocking to me. but >> also what kind of pairs well kinds of food would pair? well, with an ipa specifically? well, these ipa's are all american ipa. so literally any bar you go to chicken wings, burgers, tacos. when you start getting into the other ones that can change up a little bit. but spicy foods, yes, chinese, really whatever you want. and my ph usually pair well with the. >> ok, so can we talk about what the the charlotte obsession is with ferrari's? why do you think it is that we have so many because i know you said it's very competitive. here is so i think a lot of people saw the money, boom of originally. and that's kind of tapering off a little bit. but the craft beer thing started, you know, don't be was one of the first ones people saw that there was a market for it other people from around the country saw people here saw it. they decided to go different routes like one sugarcreek started. they were. belgian brewer is when was at one robot. we were the only ones going sour beers. so you had different breweries doing different styles and getting better at base to okay. but also says it is very interesting as you guys are opening a 3rd location now. right? arts? yeah, we're opening up a nashville. i can't give away the date, but coming sooner. it is probably going to be our longer house for the most part. exciting wow. >> so also, you know, when people are coming in, you have some different seasonal drinks, of course, which one is your seasonal right now as it are scene right now would be okay. amazing. what else should people be looking for when they come in aside from the ips? because i guys have some other ones that are just for the summer. so people really know as far blender series. that's our food. it's hours someone right now. we have key lime pie. we have blueberry cobbler. >> those are kind years that known for. then once people have those michael go into this and then what to do play has great beer they start the nerds start coming we do know smoke mars. and as we do, options on our longer is and that's what actually going to be great smaller system. sure. so we got really longer nerdy in >> i love it all. they've got tons of options, especially if you want to go visit them for national ipa day. you gotta do we get the information right there on your screen, their address, check out more information on their website or give them a call. mikey, thank you so much for coming in today. and cheers. happy
