Instead, a last-lap clash with Will Power turned a promising afternoon into frustration. Rahal restarted the one-lap dash to the finish in third and was trying to hold off Power entering Turn 12, the famous Canada Corner, on the final lap when the two made contact.

Christian Lundgaard earned his second victory of the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, climbing from last place after contact on Lap 1 to win the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America Presented by AMR on Sunday. Lundgaard won the race under caution when Graham Rahal spun into the gravel outside Canada Corner on the 14-turn, 4.014-mile road course on the final lap after contact with Will Power in a fierce duel for third place.

Scott Dixon may be closer to a solution for his sluggish season after leading the warmup Sunday for the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America presented by AMR. Six-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Dixon entered the 10th of 18 events this season mired in 12th in the standings, with one third-place finish. He has finished sixth or better in the standings every season since 2006.
