Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, with an estimated 150 000 new cases annually worldwide.1 Patients with DLBCL typically require treatment at the time of diagnosis, and more than 60% of patients are currently cured with front-line immunochemotherapy such as R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone).
