3 Results We first sought to establish the feasibility of the general ODE and denoising scheme by training the model on protein backbones only, i.e. generating the N, CA, C, and O atoms. Initially, we used a convolutional U-Net as the denoiser network and found helical structures to be easy to generate, but beta sheets to be more difficult to properly pair, likely due to their non-local nature.
