Toward a Refined PI‐RADS: The Feasibility and Limitations of More Informative Metrics in Reviewing MRI Scans

1 Introduction In the United States, prostate cancer (PCa) continues to represent one of the most common malignancies among men. It is estimated that roughly 13% of American men will be diagnosed with PCa at some point in their lives, and 2%–3% of American men will, unfortunately, die of the disease [1, 2]. As such, timely and reliable diagnosis and characterization of PCa are critical to reducing the human toll.
